Timbernook Kauai will be running programs all year long, for all kids.
TimberNook takes play to the next level. Children are able to solve problems and develop complex play schemes. TimberNook camps offer the ultimate sensory experience for children, challenging the mind, body, and senses through meaningful outdoor play opportunities. Children of all abilities can challenge their social, emotional, sensory, and cognitive skills at TimberNook, with therapeutic benefits that are vast and often surprising to all involved. All our programs are 100% outside and 100% fun.
Overview
Tuesdays: Homeschoolers program: 4-10 years old, 9am-2pm. We have a Drop off or Chaperon option. For October 14, 21, 28 only. We will take a break for November and December, and start back January 20th.

Holidays (No public school)
Veterans Day: Tuesday November 11th Drop off 9am-2pm
Thanksgiving Friday November 28th. Drop off 9am-2pm.
Tiny Ones ages 1.5 to 5 years old WITH caregivers. Next one Wednesday October 29th 9-11am.

My 5 year old just LOVES this camp! It is unusual for him to ASK to go to camp, but now he does!!! Can't blame him- What is better than building forts, waterslides, campfires, picking fruit, climbing trees, getting dirty , playing games and being creative in the woods with friends!? He comes home tired and happy and full of fun stories. Thank you for providing this camp for our community! We were happy that the counselors are all adults that keep a good eye on the kids, providing structured yet child led play 🙂

My 5-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son had an absolute blast attending this program! Every day I would come to pick them up, they were so happy and raving about all the things they did throughout the day! I love the fact that Timbernook is an outdoor, nature-based program because many of my favorite childhood memories were created through nature play. A big thank you to the staff as they were very warm and helpful if I had any questions or concerns. Also, I really appreciated being able to see pictures and videos of their experience. I am really looking forward to having them attend again in the near future!

Both of my Kids (5 & 7) LOVE this program. They had the best time at camp and can't wait to go back. I love that they are outside all day, that self reliance is encouraged, and that they work with their hands. So grateful that they have access to something this special.

My son has been raving about his incredible experiences each day at Timbernook. He comes home excited to tell me about all the amazing adventures he has had building forts, exploring and climbing trees. He has come home every day so happy to explain to me that he had so much fun using his imagination to create new games with his best friends at camp. I am so happy to hear how much he is loving learning and enjoying being physical active outdoors with his friends. The camp incorporates letting our keiki to be active, while teaching them to be confident problem solvers using their creativity while enjoying nature by doing hands on learning activities. The perfect environment for our keiki. Every day after camp, he has said to me, I had the best day, I love my friends and Auntie Mags is so much fun. I am excited to see what we will do tomorrow. I highly recommend this camp for all ages. My son is 9 and I am so happy to see how much he has loved attending the camp and how much exercise he is getting. Thank you so much Mags for bringing this incredible camp to Kauai. We are so grateful.

Mahalo for the incredible experience our keiki have had with this new nature-based program. From the moment they joined, it’s been a launchpad for curiosity, creativity, confidence, and connection. The program sparks natural curiosity in the best way possible — by letting kids explore, ask questions, and make discoveries on their own terms. Every session is an inspirational and a hands-on adventure that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and imaginative play, all while learning. As a homeschool family we recommend this great addition to any ohana ❤️ in our beloved Island of Kauai, who want their keiki to grow into "da kine" of people who think deeply, live gently, and lead wisely

My five-year-old son has been having the best time at Timbernook! He’s been a part of the 2025 summer program. The kids are totally in nature for hours, building, creating, playing and exploring together. Lots of smiles and lots of fun being had by all these kids! The location is perfect, lots of open space, lots of shade and fun trees to climb. The staff is there to keep the kids safe while the activities are fun and totally child-led. Kauai is the perfect place for a Timbernook and I hope to see more locations open to serve more of the keiki around the island!
