TimberNook South Central Montana is thrilled to announce its launch, providing exceptional play experiences for children in Carbon County, MT. Our programs cater to ages 0-12 and are designed to nurture creativity, sensory experiences, and outdoor engagement, all under the guidance of a seasoned occupational therapist with over a decade of experience. Our enriching activities promise to inspire and engage young minds, fostering growth and exploration in a natural setting.
This summer, we are offering the following programs for all abilities:
Storybook for ages 4-10
June 16-18, 9am to 12pm.
Little Wild One's for ages 4-10
July 7-9, 9-1pm
Tiny One's (caregiver/child experience) for walking-4years old
Monday's in August, 9-11am
Some programming may be appropriate for ages outside those listed. Please reach out to see if it would be a good fit!
Tips/Things to know about TimberNook:
+ TimberNook is a 100% outdoor program and we love to play in all weather. Please ensure your child wears weather appropriate attire.
+ Expect children to go home dirty. This is a good sign of a great day at TimberNook!
+ All programs are ‘drop-off’ programs except for our Tiny One’s programming which is a caregiver/child experience
+ Each family should bring a backpack with the following items: change of clothes, comfortable walking/running shoes (please no flip flops or crocs), bug spray, sunscreen, a water bottle, a healthy snack, lunch (depending on the program) and a towel for each child.
+ Upon completed registration, watch for a confirmation email.
+ We will send a detailed email a few days prior to the program.
Please consider the following when determining if TimberNook is a good fit for your child:
** Our staff takes a hands-off approach and we encourage the caregivers to do the same. This allows children to develop their problem-solving and conflict resolution skills while maintaining within visual contact of a counselor and counselor stepping in when safety concerns them.
** A certified provider with CPR/first aid training is onsite at all times.
** We will aim for a 6:1 counselor/child ratio for our drop-off camps
** We are an inclusive program and invite participation from children of all abilities. Please reach out if you feel your child may need additional support to participate so we can plan.
** Ages listed for program can be adjusted –please contact us regarding age categories if you feel your child would be a good fit for this program.
** Sample day might look like:
9:00: Check-in & Welcome Circle
9:30: Snack & Story
10:00: Play Experience
11:15: Lunch
12:00: Extended Play
1:00: Dismissal
CANCELLATION POLICY
We are unable to provide refunds at this time for this program. If a child is ill or misses his or her day, they forfeit that day. We are unable to provide individual make up days for missed days. If we must cancel a session due to severe weather, a prorated coupon will be offered to be used toward another program.
Severe Weather Policy
We will not operate under severe weather conditions (including, but not limited to high winds above 30mph), temperatures unsafe for children to play in, or unsafe air quality. If the conditions change rapidly while camp is in session we will utilize the shop nearby drop-off for shelter and follow the appropriate safety drills and parent/guardians will be notified. While rare, if we need to cancel a session due to severe weather conditions, parents will be notified the morning of programming.
