Extreme Art Summer Camp – Where Creativity Knows No Limits!

Looking for a summer camp where your child’s imagination runs wild? At TimberNook’s Extreme Art Camp, we believe kids thrive when they lead their own creative adventures. Our program is 100% child-led and takes place entirely outdoors, rain or shine!

From grand-scale papier-mâché masterpieces to mud resist painting, from bubble wrap splatter fun to a nature-inspired game of Twister, we provide a safe space for kids to explore, create, and play in ways they never imagined.

This isn’t just an art camp—it’s an immersive, hands-on experience where kids get messy, experiment boldly, and discover the magic of self-expression in nature.

🌿 Fully outdoor experience
🎨 Unrestricted creativity
🌞 Safe, supportive, and child-led
🖌️ A summer like no other!

When deciding if TimberNook Downeast is a good fit for your child, please consider the following:

We maintain a 6:1 child/adult ratio

  • This is a drop-off program.
  • Please pack a big lunch, lots of snacks, & a full water bottle.
  • This program is a 100% outdoor nature program. Weather appropriate attire is required.
  • The role of the adult is to step back and tune in. TimberNook staff maintains visual contact with children but may be out of arm’s reach. Staff allow children the opportunity to build conflict resolution skills, stepping in when safety is a factor.
  • Children must maintain visual contact of a TimberNook staff member at all times, stay within the designated boundaries of our site, and manage their needs (such as eating, drinking fluids, and using the restroom).
  • We understand that children are individuals and sometimes have varying abilities and unique needs. If your child requires additional support, please contact us to make a plan prior to registering.

Specific e-mails to camp will be sent the week prior to camp with drop off and pick up information. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours, please contact us so we can resend it!If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us!
