Storybook

Storybook

Storybook is one of TimberNook’s most popular programs. Children “live and breathe” stories out in the wild. Each day brings a new story and adventure for the children to recreate with friends.

Our adventures this week will be inspired by The Three Little Pigs, Billy Goats Gruff, Where the Wild Things Are, and The Tortoise and the Hare. Children will have the chance to build houses and bridges, become wild things, and design and run their own obstacle courses.

  • TimberNook is a 100% outdoor program and we love to play in all weather. Please ensure your child wears weather appropriate attire.
  • Each child should bring a backpack with the following items: change of clothes, comfortable walking/running shoes, bug spray, sunscreen, a full water bottle, a healthy snack, and a towel.
  • Expect children to go home dirty. This is a good sign of a great day at TimberNook!
  • This is a drop-off program. Drop off is 8:55-9:05 am and pick up is 11:55-12:05 pm
  • Upon completed registration, watch for a confirmation email.
  • We will send a detailed email a in the weeks leading up to the program.

Please consider the following when determining if TimberNook is a good fit for your child:

  • We maintain a ratio of 1 staff member to 6 children.
  • Our staff takes a hands-off approach, allowing children to develop their problem-solving and conflict resolution skills while maintaining visual contact and stepping in when safety concerns them.
  • A certified provider with CPR/first aid training is onsite at all times.
  • Children must always keep a TimberNook staff member in sight, stay within the designated boundaries of our site, and be able to take care of their own needs (such as eating, drinking, and using the restroom).
  • We are an inclusive program and invite participation from children of all abilities.  Please reach out if you feel your child may need additional support to participate so we can plan.
  • Ages listed for program can be adjusted –please contact us regarding age categories if you feel your child would be a good fit for this camp.
