Get ready for a summer of wild, imaginative play in nature! Friends in the Wild has  a child drop-off option too. This program is where kids ages 4–9 spend the afternoon exploring, creating, and adventuring in the great outdoors. Whether they’re balancing on logs, cooking up mud pies, building forts, or inventing their own play worlds, children are free to follow their ideas and challenge their bodies and minds in meaningful ways.

We’ll be adventuring at Big Maple Lake Park, a beautiful natural space in Hobart with open fields, shady woods, and a winding creek—perfect for hands-on exploration and nature-inspired play.

This DROP OFF option is limited to 10 children, ensuring plenty of space, attention, and opportunity for deep, engaged play. A TimberNook Provider with CPR and First Aid certification is always on site.

Our mixed-age environment offers valuable opportunities for social development. Younger children are naturally drawn to learn from older peers, while older children gain confidence and leadership experience—all while playing side by side in nature.

    5 STAR CAMP for all ages!!!! My 4.5 yr old daughter attended Barefoot & Buckets camp this week end LOVED it! This camp truly inspires their imaginations, allows kids to learn outdoors through play and working through things in an uninhibited environment. They did a fantastic job getting the kids excited with their creative and unique themes each day and we would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for a summer camp experience like no other! My daughter is also T1 Diabetic and they took extremely good care of her all week. This would a huge bonus for us!
