Woodland Tinkering is all about design & collaboration in the wild. Children will work together to build their own play experiences using unique combinations of materials and the outdoor environment as their inspiration. This week, children will have the opportunity to create Chain Reaction Machines…in nature! From designing and building ball runs and playing with pulleys and levers “Rube Goldberg”-style to exploring (and building) the ancient technology of catapults, the week will culminate in a golf tournament played on miniature golf courses in the woods…engineered and created by the kids! There will be plenty of time for free play, tinkering, cooking open an open fire, and games in the wild. The week will wrap up with more Making…the edible kind…with our Fruit Kabobs! This program will inspire hours of creative play!
