Join us for our fourth week with woodland Tinkering program. Woodland Tinkering is all about design & collaboration in the wild. Children will work together
to build their own play experiences using unique combinations of materials and the environment as their inspiration. There will be plenty of time for games, tinkering, and hours of creative, child-led play
🌟 Why Timbernook? 🌿 100% Outdoor Experience – Rain or shine, the adventure continues! 🎭 Imaginative, Child-Led Play – Kids create their own stories while we provide the inspiration. 👀 Safe & Supportive
📌 Drop-off program TUESDAY ONLY
Location: Kauai Bible church Land. Timbernook play area is up Omao road, across the highway. (You’ll receive a map of drop off location a week before the camp.)

8. any medication needed (parent/adult with child will be responsible for any medication) - We are 100% outdoors. 🌿 Appropriate outdoor wear is required (if there is a question or concern, please reach out to us, and we will work together to make sure everyone is dressed for the weather, ensuring comfort and safety).
• Bathroom facilities available on-site with a sink to wash hands.
• Exclusive access to 2 acres of outdoor space designed explicitly to support and encourage the senses, creativity, imagination, adventure and the whole child.
• You will receive news and pictures of the day’s experiences and a comprehensive review.
• We expect children to be within sight of an adult at all times, stay within the designated boundaries of our site, and manage their needs (such as eating, drinking fluids and using the restroom).
• In the event of impending severe weather during a TimberNook program we will take shelter in our designated storm shelter
• Programs are held rain, shine or heat. If the weather is just too severe to be safe, programs are cancelled and a make-up class will be scheduled (if not possible tuition will be adjusted). Remember that soap, water and a bath will be your best friend. Expect that your child may get wonderfully messy, dirty, wet, cold or hot, but always happy!
A comprehensive welcome packet will be emailed a few days in advance with complete information on where to go, what to wear, what to bring and what to expect. (hint: expect lots of fun and memories to be made)

Mahalo for the incredible experience our keiki have had with this new nature-based program. From the moment they joined, it’s been a launchpad for curiosity, creativity, confidence, and connection. The program sparks natural curiosity in the best way possible — by letting kids explore, ask questions, and make discoveries on their own terms. Every session is an inspirational and a hands-on adventure that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and imaginative play, all while learning. As a homeschool family we recommend this great addition to any ohana ❤️ in our beloved Island of Kauai, who want their keiki to grow into “da kine” of people who think deeply, live gently, and lead wisely

My five-year-old son has been having the best time at Timbernook! He’s been a part of the 2025 summer program. The kids are totally in nature for hours, building, creating, playing and exploring together. Lots of smiles and lots of fun being had by all these kids! The location is perfect, lots of open space, lots of shade and fun trees to climb. The staff is there to keep the kids safe while the activities are fun and totally child-led. Kauai is the perfect place for a Timbernook and I hope to see more locations open to serve more of the keiki around the island!
