Tiny Ones – TimberNook Mid-Michigan

Tiny Ones Summer Series

This is a 6 session series that will run June 11th through August 20th and meet every other Wednesday. 

This program is designed for tots and parents! Tiny Ones provides innovative learning opportunities through meaningful, child-driven play for the child and the parent. Each day will foster essential life skills, inspire creativity, facilitate connection, and integrate cognitive & social emotional skills. Children will have the opportunity to imagine and create in the woods. Most importantly, children and parents will create lasting memories for years to come!

• TimberNook is a 100% outdoor program and we love to play in all weather. Please ensure your child wears weather appropriate attire.
• Each family should bring a backpack with the following items: change of clothes, comfortable walking/running shoes (please no flip flops or crocs), bug spray, sunscreen, a water bottle, a healthy snack, and a towel for each child.
• Expect children to go home dirty. This is a good sign of a great day at TimberNook!
• This is NOT a drop-off program.
• This program is designed for walkers up to 5yrs of age.
• Infant siblings may be worn, free of charge.
• Upon completed registration, watch for a confirmation email.
• We will send a detailed email a few days prior to the program.

Our programs are located in the woods next to JaxNaz Church on their 32 acre campus, off Clinton Rd (M-50).

Please consider the following when determining if TimberNook is a good fit for your child:

• Our staff takes a hands-off approach and we encourage the parents to do the same. This allows children to develop their problem-solving and conflict resolution skills while maintaining visual contact and stepping in when safety concerns them.
• A certified provider with CPR/BBP training is onsite at all times.
• We are an inclusive program and invite participation from children of all abilities.  Please reach out if you feel your child may need additional support to participate so we can plan.
• Ages listed for program can be adjusted –please contact us regarding age categories if you feel your child would be a good fit for this program.

Cancellation Policy

We are unable to provide refunds at this time for this program. If a child is ill or misses his or her day, they forfeit that day. We are unable to provide individual make up days for missed days. If we must cancel a session due to severe weather, a prorated coupon will be offered to be used toward another program.

Severe Weather Policy

We will not operate under severe weather conditions (including, but not limited to high winds above 30mph), temperatures unsafe for children to play in, or unsafe air quality. If the conditions change rapidly while camp is in session we will utilize the church building for shelter and follow the appropriate safety drills and parent/guardians will be notified. While rare, if we need to cancel a session due to severe weather conditions, parents will be notified the morning of programming no later than 7:00am.
